ESS DEE Aluminium Limited Q2 & H1 FY2009 Results
Mumbai, 1st November 2008: Ess Dee Aluminium Ltd, one of India’s largest providers of pharma packaging solutions, today announced its results for the quarter and half year ended 30th September 2008.
Financial performance update:
Q2 FY2009 results compared with Q2 FY2008 results:
Revenues increase by 64.04% to Rs. 12524.15 lacs from Rs. 7634.65 Lacs
Operating profits stand at Rs. 3235.78 lacs versus Rs. 1859.60 lacs, indicating 74 % growth
PAT rises 55.58 % to Rs.2292.92 lacs from Rs. 1473.74 lacs
EPS improves to Rs. 8.24 from Rs. 5.53
H1 FY2009 results compared with H1 FY2008 results:
Revenues up 54.45% to Rs. 23229.60 lacs from Rs. 15040.03 lacs
EBIDTA improves 56.30% to Rs. 6612.47 lacs from Rs. 4230.58 lacs
Net profits increase by 42.90 % to Rs. 4433.46 lacs from Rs. 3102.28 lacs
EPS at Rs. 15.93 from Rs. 11.69
Commenting on the performance in Q2 FY2009 Mr. Sudip Dutta, Chairman & Managing Director, said,
“We are thankful to our investors for their support & we feel proud to announce our financial result which has seen healthy growth in the second quarter of FY 2008–2009. The company is plotting robust order books with increasing demand due to consolidation of market as customers are shifting their buying from unorganised sectors to preferred organised sector company like EDAL”.
Key Strengths:
·EDAL plants located at Daman and Goa, are modeled on the latest generation CGMP practices and are the best in the packaging laminate space.
·The company has skilled and trained manpower, who are the cream in the Indian packaging industry.
Key Developments:
The company is getting ready for higher demands in laminates and therefore has decided to import latest hi-tech ultra modern multi- colour printing machine to be installed by 4th quarter.
The anti-counterfeit products are getting wide spread acceptance from the Pharma giants in India to protect their big brands from fakes & counterfeit products.
The company has received DMF Type III approval from USFDA for its newly introduced products like cold formed blister foil, child resistant foil and tropicalised laminates, giving marketing leveraging capabilities to Pharma giants to source these products from EDAL for their exports to regulated markets.
